It all started with a vacation.

Back in 2010, a trip to the Bahamas sparked an idea. Not a business plan. Not a five-year strategy. Just a simple thought:

What if kendama felt a little more like this?

Relaxed. Colorful. Easy to pick up.

The kind of thing you’d throw in your beach bag, bring to the park, or pass to a friend while hanging out.

That feeling became Bahama Kendama.

We were never interested in doing things the “normal” way.

From the beginning, Bahama Kendama leaned into creativity.

While much of the kendama world focused on tradition, we were busy experimenting with crackle paints, oversized models, five-cup kendamas, aluminum builds, and shapes that made people stop and say, “Wait… what is that?”

Some ideas were unexpected. Some were a little weird. That’s exactly the point.

Playing should be fun.

The next chapter.

A lot has changed since those early days.

Kendama has evolved. Players have pushed the limits of what’s possible, and the community has continued to grow around the world.

So we went back to the drawing board.

The result is the BK V2.

It’s our most refined kendama yet - developed with feedback from the community and designed to feel great whether you’re learning your first cups or chasing your next favorite trick.

It keeps the playful spirit Bahama Kendama has always been known for while bringing modern performance into the mix.

What hasn’t changed.

We still believe the best moments with a kendama usually happen between tricks.

When someone asks if they can try. When a kid lands their first spike. When everyone cheers because someone finally sticks the one they’ve been working on.

Those moments matter more than perfect scores. They always will.

That’s why Bahama Kendama exists.
